I enjoyed the author's take on vampires and werewolves.
I also enjoyed that the guys got to know each other first before getting involved.
A Welcome Surprise!
This book is a combination of Underworld, high epic fantasy, adventure, and horror/scary movie insanity. And the crying. I cried. This was a random discovery and dear gawds is it a great one.
Vampires and werewolves and monsters and magic and the best use of SURPRISE!Necromancy EVER. 5 Stars from me.
I wouldn't say there were many surprises here, either in terms of plot or the characters' emotional journeys, but this was a pleasant read. Loved the found family aspect. I'll definitely be checking out more of the author's writing.
Through all the book I was expecting something deeper to happen. It felt more like a slice of life. The romance part was nice, and the vampire was quite original, big plus for that.
I am so not a fan of wedding endings - a minus for that.
Having a perfectly happy atheist/godless character was refreshing, but converting him to religion was really bad - a big minus.
This was so very different in that it was fantasy, almost sci-fi, with my werewolves aka Hounds and Vampires. Adding in the MM genre and instant buy for me.
It touched on a lot of different subjects and had a great secondary cast that I would enjoy learning more about. Roshan was a wonderful and touching character and I felt for him and support of Kelas. I liked Kelas' journey of self discovery and faith. It was overall a true love story and I would definitely recommend it.
This is the first book I've read by this author.... I love finding new talented authors and I'm very impressed with this one...this book was amazing..I loved the world building and the character development... The plot was spot on and I felt everything Keles was feeling ...I hope to read more from this wonderful cast of characters!! Can anyone yell SERIES!!!!
This was one of those books in which everyone is just so darned lovely you can't stand it. People make instant connections, earn trust in no time, love blooms easily, and EVERYONE lives happily ever after together. The writing was ok, though the dialogue didn't feel particularly natural, at times. But the pacing felt off and I didn't believe the relationships for a moment.
